Kenyan Gem: A Symphony of Flavors
This exceptional coffee lot has been carefully washed and sun-dried on traditional African drying beds, a process that enhances its vibrant character. Like a multifaceted gem, it beautifully showcases the incredible diversity of flavors Kenya has to offer.
Expect a harmonious blend of chocolate, garden berries, wild berries, stone fruits, and a touch of tea—a little bit of everything that makes Kenyan coffee so unforgettable.
This coffee is a regional smallholder blend, crafted with contributions from many small-scale farmers across various Kenyan regions, each bringing their unique touch to the final product. It features four of Kenya’s most popular and celebrated coffee varieties, coming together to create a flavor profile that’s as rich in history as it is in taste.
Discover the essence of Kenyan coffee in every sip.
Kenya, characterized by its volcanic red soil and elevated altitudes, is renowned for a coffee flavor profile that consistently distinguishes itself during cupping assessments. The inception of coffee cultivation in Kenya can be traced back to the late 1800s when it was introduced by French missionaries.
The variety they introduced was Bourbon, originally sourced from an island known as Bourbon Island (now referred to as La Réunion island), and subsequently propagated throughout the nation.
